A photofacial is a noninvasive, no-downtime procedure to correct virtually any superficial blemish. Rosacea, sun damage, freckles, age spots and acne are no match for this rejuvenating treatment
Photorejuvenation (IPL- Intense Pulsed Light) laser treatments are most commonly used for:
Lightening and removing "sun spots", "age spots", and brown blotches on the face, neck, chest, hands and other areas of the body
Lightening and reducing redness, flushing, rosacea, dilated blood vessels and "broken" blood vessels on the face, neck and chest.
A series of treatments is necessary to achieve optimal results. Repeated IPLs have been shown to induce new collagen formation and may improve skin texture. Treatments are typically spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Brown spots will turn darker immediately following treatment and flake off within 5-14 days. Broken blood vessels slowly recede over a period of weeks.
